The last of the original Dolphins to remain with the team, Twilley caught 212 passes for 3,064 yards (14.5) and 23 touchdowns in his 120-game career that spanned 11 years. His most famous touchdown came in Super Bowl VII against Washington on a 28-yard reception after he made a brilliant fake, and angled to the sideline. An All-American at Tulsa, Twilley was the nation's leading scorer in 1965 with 16 touchdowns while he finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting to Southern California's Mike Garrett during that stellar season.
